This, then, is the state of the union: free and restless, growing and full of hope(still).
So it was in the beginning.
So it shall always be...
Right?

I love the United States more than any other country; and, exactly for this reason, I insist on the right to criticize her perpetually.
I ask myself: In the face of so much vile rhetoric, is America Still Great?
You bet your arse it is. The proof is in the protests.
As long as men are free to argue the point it must be.
Take your time consider and reflect, then Celebrate! Celebrate! Celebrate!
Whether you like it or not we are still free to do ALL of this.

YES, 'this a gift to be free-
thanks for the post. Safe holiday.

Too hot to blog … that’s it.
Apart from that-a-girl Ms Edna don’t work so hard, get real Capitol Hill, and you have a budget (finally)…I was going to comment about American-Chinese relations … but it really is too hot.
That’s it.

Warning: Harvard says Fourth of July parades could turn your kids Republican.
One can only hope that public funds were not used for this study.

Batal and Whoa my little camel…
That post really makes me wanna dress up in red/white/and blue.
Alas, since I'm out of the country and in the middle of nowhere I thought this not possible. But my host said that we will have to rock the colors!!! He has arranged for FIREWORKS, red/white/and blue of course!

Happy 4th.
May we all perspire in the grand California tradition.
15 pounds of BBQ has just arrived at the homestead.
The earth will move on Monday.
P.S. lovely post.
